CHILD LABOR:
INTRODUCTION:
The term 'Child labor' means that children are forced to work and this will deprive them of their childhood. We should know children are the greatest gift to humanity and childhood is very important for their development. This kind of work at this stage is mentally, socially and physically harmful for children. For very little money, they worked long hours in dangerous factories. Children were useful as laborers because they could be paid less than adults. They were out to work to support their families, but WHAT ABOUT THEIR EDUCATION LIFES?? TYIES OF CHILD LABOR:
- Child labor in agriculture.
- Pornography.
- Domestic work.
- Migration and child labor.
- Mining.
- Trafficking in children
EFFECTS OF CHILD LABOR:
Unfortunately, harsh working may cause many effects on children, which can destroy their childhood. I've mentioned some effects below,
- Health conditions(fewer facilities).
- Depression.
- Drug taking(stress).
- Illiteracy(lack of education).
- Injuries(dangerous workplaces).
- Causing diseases(polluted places).
- Mentally disturbed(more work less paid).
- Malnutrition.
STEPS TO CONTROL CHILD LABOR:
In the World's poorest countries, around one in four children are engaged in child labor. I've discussed some ideas which help to control child labor.
- The government should make it compulsory for all children below a certain age, must go to school and not allow to work anywhere.
- Limit children's birth in a family.
- Educate and encourage poor people. Provide free and good quality education to all poor children, it helps to reduce the incidence of child labor.
- Reduce poverty, poverty is a key reason for the existence of child labor. When families live in poverty, they have no choice to send their children to work at a young age.
- Donate your money to charities that help children and their families from child labor.
